MySpace Mobile website gets a makeover

Facebook-surpassed social network MySpace has just announced that a new version of its mobile-friendly portal is getting a refresh this week. Accessed by some 20 million users per month, the MySpace Mobile Website (m.myspace.com / wap.myspace.com), is getting enhancements to its overall look and feel, with new user interface elements that have been optimized for screen sizes 176 pixels wide (and larger), and support for 13 languages. "We want our users to be able to access MySpace from any device," said John Faith, vice president and general manager of MySpace Mobile. "We are committed to building apps for platforms we feel are groundbreaking to offer our users the best possible on-the-go MySpace experience."In addition to updating its mobile portal, MySpace said that it is working on new applications for Nokia S60 devices and Palm's webOS-powered Pre smartphone.
